A nail in the tread zone is routine vulcanization work and the tire returns to full duty - a professional patch applied from inside is far more reliable than a temporary plug. One practical detail: if your wheels carry pressure sensors, warn the fitter before mounting - a tire pressure sensor is easily damaged during demounting.
