Why buy from a donor car
A dismantled car is a source of original used parts: the component comes off the very model you are fitting it to, which matters most for older and rarer cars where new parts are hard to source. You can also take several parts from one vehicle and save on shipping. The most hunted items are engines, gearboxes, lights and body panels - if you would rather buy a part that is already removed and listed on its own, those live in the regular parts categories.
Negotiable prices by design
Dismantled-car listings on parts.ge never carry a fixed price - they are always published as price negotiable, because the cost depends entirely on which part you are after: a door is one budget, an engine quite another. That is also why this section has no price filter - you search by make, model, year, fuel and city, and settle the price on the phone.
What to check before buying
- The production year and engine marking match your car
- Photos show the actual part on this donor, not a catalogue image
- For body panels - the paint code and any damage marks
- For electronics - the option to test on the car before removal
- How you will receive the part - inspection on site or shipping
The more precisely you describe your car to the seller - VIN, engine size, trim - the lower the risk of a mismatch.
